Day 10
Weather was cold but not as windy as yesterday

Today's lesson was changed to 10a.m instead, went to the opposite street to have breakfast with BaoHui, Carmen as well as Alicia.
The taste of the bao was awesome especially the soup will flow out of the bao once you give a bite.
I love the warm feeling after I filled my stomach with the bao on my way to school.

The street hawkers are still selling despite standing in the cold weather.
Now I finally understand that how hard it is to earn a living and to feed all the mouths in the house.
I am touched by what I have seen.

The public phone available on the street.
They are located very closed next to each other, so near that I felt that there are no privacy.

After lesson, we went to have our lunch along the street.

I spot a truck with only three wheels, we don't see it in Singapore.
Most of the trunk and other motor vehicles in Singapore have at least 4 wheels excluding motor vehicles.

The transmission lines along the street.
From what I have learnt from Mr Wee's ELS module, the transmission lines carry the voltage from the PowerGride which generate the electricity and distribute the electricity to the electricity consumers .

The fresh fruits along the street.

I kept seeing the locals especially the female keep eating pineapple daily.
They treat the pineapple like eating an apple a day just to keep the doctor away.

I admire the local senior cizitens, the way the lead their life.
They are still very strong and healthy, as you can see in the picture, they are still able to ride bicycle and carry heavy stuffs on their shoulder.

Rubbishs was found everywhere along the street, I don't know how the locals endure the smell of the grabages especially some are just next to the street stalls.
I miss the clean environment in Singapore especially the green trees around the city.
I think the local government should urge the locals to protect the environment as well as issue penalty like fines to those who violates the rules.

Street hawkers used that to start up fire and cook rather gas, it 's available in black and pale orange.

The stone pancake, something new to me.
Bernice and XiuJin bought the pancake and share with us.
The pancake was actually not make of stone but make use of the stone to heat up the pancake.
The taste was rather unique, filled with minced meat and sauce.

The stall selling different types of chinese herbs and flowers.
It is very hard to find a medical shop in Wuhan or can I say there are no medical shop here.
Lizhen and I bought some back to drink as we ate lots of heaty foods these few days.

Together with Jian Wen, Tee Yong as well as Kia Fu, the eight of us continue to walk to another street.
We walked about two bus stops down .
I couldn't believe what I see right in front of my eyes.
The deer was locked in the gate waiting to be killed outside the restaurant.
It was extremely cruel and sad to see it especially when I make a eye contact with the deer.

Went back to Niu Xiang Square together with the guys to bring them around the shopping mall.
We encountered something unpleasant experience while shopping.
Bernice and Lizhen went into a shop together to buy XiuJin's birthday present.
As the shop was crowded with shoppers and somemore the the walking area around the shop was narrow, Bernice's bag bump onto a plastic coinbank.
Eventually, the coinbank fall onto the ground and a small piece of the plastic feel off.
The shop salesperson insist Bernice to make compensation and buy the coinbank.
But, of course bernice are not willing to do that as she was pushed by other.
Furthermore, no signs like once broken, it is considered sold in the shop.
Eventually, we stood at the shop for 2o minutes and left after we unwilling to pay.
Thinking back, I broke a tomato sauce in Cold Storage in Singapore.
The staffs didn't ask me to pay but they still ask me to be careful and not to step on the broken glass.
They also help me to clean up the mess.
There are differences between the two countries in term of several ways.
We had KFC for dinner.
Before we settle down, we had a hard time finding seats for 8 people.
Furthermore, the locals love to snatch the seats from us even though we spot the vacant first.
Perhaps, we are taught by the principle of first come first serve basis.
Well, we neither fight or quarrel with them.
We just tolerant and wait for another seats.
The Yam tarts were special, which didn't sell in Singapore.
Addin on, their family feast were totally different from what we have in Singapore.
In their family feast set, they have corn and buns beside chicken wings.

Bernice and I went to Carrefour to get some grocery again while the rest wait for us at KFC
The queue was horrible and the cashier was impatient and rushing to collect money from me while I was busy searching for money.
I dislike the way they served us, to them it's parts of their job.
Thus, they are not required to be be more polite and hand the change to the customers with both hand as well as wearing a smile.
No carriers are provided at Carrefour, plastic bags are charged.
Took a cab back to hostel.
This round the taxi driver was unfriendly and did not chat with us.
This left me a impression that not everyone was friendly and behave the same way.

Back at hostel, I nearly freaked out when I saw the electrical current flowing when I plucked in my socket outlet on the powerpoint.
There was no on/off button on the front plate, unlike in Singapore.
For my own safety, I will try to minmise the risk of getting electical shock.

The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him.
