Day 17
Woke up early in the morning to check my result. My heart was racing and nearly at my mouth when I was waiting for the page to load. Train of thoughts was running in my mind at that moment, I was thinking what if I did badly. If so, how am I going to do and break the news to the others. I'm not shy to tell that I'm a person who care about losing faces, I'm serious! Thank goodness, I did improve as compare to the last semster! I was way so elated that I make a phone call to my mum immediately as I can't wait to share the good news with her. I also finally understand the theory behind the efforts really paid off. I hardly can breathe as my time was fully packed with assignments as well as projects. Everynight, I burned midnight oil without fail. So I was great I was doing well, scoring 3.8261! Of course, my mum was happy for me and I chatted with her for a while. I can't wait to get back to Singapore!! I miss my family members!
Had lessons in the afternoon instead of morning. We reached school pretty early and the teacher Edith was late for lesson So I end up sitting outside of the classroom waiting for her as my legs were aching after climbing seven storeys. Today lesson was alright, I still prefer her lesson in the bottom of my heart. I have become wiser after her lesson each time. I get to know that tattoo is not so widely accepted in China, only the gangsters will have tattoo on their body. Unlike in China, it has become an art of work in Singapore. On top of it, I also get to learn the represention of the different colours, animals as well as plants. For colours, purple represent good future and red refer to good luck. As for plants, pine means longevity and lotus means perservance as well as one's moral integrity. On top of it, Magpie refer to good luck and cuckoo refers to homesickness and sadness. So I found that it was interesting to know other country's culture.
  Edith and her lessons
Went to the noodles stall near our hostel with Bernice after lessons. Xiujin and Lizhen went back apartment to boil the soup for dinner first. I didn't manage to finish the whole bowl of noodles or should I rather say I hardly touch it. The noodles was too dry for me, so dry that I hardly can swallow.
 The local dry noodles.
We sat inside of the small house as there were no vacant for us to sit outdoor. It was like a small hut to me, like kampong village house back in the oldest days. The atmosphere was refreshing and new. We hardly have the chance to experience it in Singapore. Next to us was the hawker's house I strongly believed. I spot some laundry hanging outside, cooking untensils and etc. From what I have gathered, most of local food sellers here stayed very near where they operate their business.
Inside of the small hut !
So we went back to our apartment to finish out tutorials after that. The soup was alright but it took more than 2 hours to boil. So by the time the soup was cooked, it was already 9.30p.m I loved the soup and I am craving for more!
