Day 18

Good Weather

Woke up early in the morning to get ready for site visiting.
I was nearly half-dead and reluctant to wake up as it was Saturday.
First thing in my mind was it was a rest day for me so I took my own sweet time to get off from the bed and washed up.
Eventually, I was late together with Yankhee and Lizhen.
The bus arrived punctually at 8.30a.m and there we sat off our journey.
Understand from the tour guide , We will visit Wuhan University to see Sakura ,SiMen Kou for lunch and tour around the lake for the day.
It was a whole Day programme!

First We reached Wuhan University to see Sakura.

Right at the entrance, it was packed like sardine and our bus took some time to drive in.
I didn't know it was so crowded with so many people.
I thought Sakura was a common sight and not something new to the local.
Of course, I was feeling extremely excited when I first saw the Sakura as we don't see it in Singapore!
This explains why I can't stop capturing pictures the whole day especially of the Sakura.
I have tons of pictures of the Sakura.
Below are some of them.

The beautiful Sakura!

Zoom in! The petal of the Sakura!

And not forgetting taking pictures with the Sakura!

Me and Sakura!

Again!
With Bernice and Lizhen too!

Along the street, there are stalls selling souvenire, foods as well as drinks too.

Other than Sakura, I also found other flowers like the yellow flowers in the university below.

The local university's running track field.
Heard from the local students, most of the school sport activities are held there.

The small No Parking sign!
I wonder if the pass-by vehicles can notice such a tiny little sign on the ground.

Again, I want to emphasis the dangerous of crossing the road there.
The vehicles and people shared the same path/road, there were no walking pavement for us to walk.
There were no marking on the road , the road was not even divided.
Follow by that, we went to 户部巷 for lunch. It is well known for its local delight finger foods. The whole place was crowded with people and we were pushed by the crowd along our way.I hardly can breathe. Furthermore, the local was extremely impatient and kept pushing here and there without giving ways.
But well, I also endure and continue my way.
Yes, I couldn't resist the smell of the food.
Perhaps I was feeling hungry.
I love the finger foods over there, especially the fruits mixed with jelly.

At the entrance:

The famous stall

More food stalls found along our way:

Spot a kid playing the chinese yoyo

Tried this lemon Japanese pancake.
Yes ! It was ohyishi!

Bernice tried the sausages

Me with my fruits!

Mr Wee couldn't resist the temptation of the chicken drumlet too!

The handmade candy

The old man selling candy floss on the street, a very unique way selling candy floss.
I bought a pink candy floss and shared it with Bernice!

Our last and final destination was 东湖.
The place was awesome especially the lake and its scenery.
I love the structure of the old buildings too, it reminds and brings me back to century where the emperor still exisit and the ordinary live under his ruling.

The five of us .

Closer look of the structure of the building

The beautiful lake

Bernice , Lizhen and I went in to this place and the structure of the shophouses were very beautiful.

The big drum

The haunted house

Outside of the shophouses

The kind of transportation used in the oldest days

The well

Went to Ajisen for dinner befor heading back to Hostel.
It was a tiring but a fun-filled day!
