I shall blog about both yesterday and today in the same post, due to the time constraint.

Day 8: Weather was great!

Woke up early in the morning as usual to attend project management tutorial.
It was the first time in my life that I realized foolscaps paper is precious.
We have to complete the tutorial 1 question on the foolscaps paper and submit to Mr Wee but most of us didn't bring papers along to Wuhan.
Thus, we have to tear few pages of our notebook to share among us.
Furthermore, it's not easy to purchase foolscaps paper and their local bookshop is located pretty far from our classroom.

Had our lunch at the street next to our campus.

I didn't know there are so many food stalls along that street.
All the foods look delicious and attractive to me, perhaps I was hungry.
Along the street, there are stalls selling artists poster, provision shops and not forgetting the large variety of food stalls.

I tried lots of finger foods on the way back to our hostels.
Being the hardcore fan of popular Taiwan artist Wu zun, I also try to seize and buy his posters and bring back to Singapore.
All the posters are selling only at 1.50 Yuan; it was far way cheaper than the posters selling in the Comic Connection in Singapore.
I know I'm kind of typical Singapore!
I couldn't find any rubbish bin along the street, so I just behave and follow like the locals throwing the tissue paper at a spot waiting for it to be burn.
I also get to understand that anyone can burn the rubbish into ash easily, different from Singapore.

I also observed how the local make popcorn at one of the stalls, it was definitely much more different and inconvenient than Singapore.
As you can see in the picture, the old man was actually squatting down and placed the popcorn seeds in the heated black pot.
Followed by that, he kept turning and rotating the pot.
Unlike in Singapore, we just need to throw the popcorn seeds in the machine and wait for few minutes for it to pop.

The fingers food I tried:

It's their local burger, filled with egg , bacon and other ingredients.
It merely cost 3 Yuan.

Next, it know as the Mei Huang gao.

I tried the original flavour.
The cone was filled with rasin and red date of the course hot red beans.
I first saw it on the street, I though it was an ice-cream.
The red beans fillings kept dripping and burn my hand.

Spot the locals students having their PE lessons without wearing PE attires. All of them was wearing thick clothings, I wonder how they move and exercise their body. Stood there for 10 minutes and observed them.

Next, Lizhen and I went to Nu Xiang Square to continue our second part of shopping without the rest.
Nu Xiang Square is extremely huge, bigger than Vivo City perhaps twice or even thrice the size of it.
Most of the shops target the needs of the local students, they have the latest fashion, branded label like Levis as well.
From what I have observed, it's like another Far East Plaza in Orchard.
So, it can be considered as the local student's favourite hangout areas at weekend or after school.

Lizhen and I went to the last storey of the shopping mall to get some finger food to fill our stomach.
I was surprised to see that there is arcade crowded with students as it was a weekday actually.

It taste delicious!
We spent like 5 hours to shop mainly on the first three storey of the shopping mall.
We didn't manage to cover the whole areas as the sky was turning dark and we tend to reach hostel by 6p.m the latest.
Furthermore, we haven't even make our way to Carrefour when the clock strike 6p.m.
We hurried make our way to Carrefour and grab whatever we need like detergent.
Mention about detergent, we didn't realise we bought the wrong detergent previously till yesterday.
Then lizhen and I looked stunned.
Fortunately, the salegirl explain and recommend us the appropriate detergent.
The Carrefour didn't have large variety of fruit juice, vegetables and foods unlike in Singapore.
What really surprise me was that they did sell durians in Carrefour.
They only use nylon string to tie the durian without the need to wrap it in the paper bag.
We also intend to buy some eggs back to cook but we missed the time and stall in the Carrefour has closed like before 6p.m.
I totally don't understand why we have to queue for eggs in the first place, perhaps eggs are precious to them.
They also sold inferior rice in Carrefour, which really shocked me.
From what I have learnt, inferior rice was the worst food staple and unhealthy to our body.
After gathering all our stuffs, we rushed all the way to the bus-stop.
As usual, the bus stand was full of people and we were actually standing at the side of the road waiting to board the bus.
I can only comment that the local loves to push and bump onto you without saying sorry, I found it extremely irritating and inconsiderate.
The bus journey back to the hostel was horrible and it was far way off my imagination.
It was packed like sardines and I hardly can breathe.
I can't bear to alight the bus, the worst situation I ever experienced.

My shopping bag full of presents that I am going to bring back to Singapore.
I take the initiative to sweep the floor as I couldn't stand the dirt on the floor.
I think I am more independent now, I totally relay on my mum in Singapore.
Furthermore, I learnt how to do housechores like washing the clothes, cleaning the dishes as well as drying the laundry.

Day 9
Weather: raining, extremely cold!
Going to freeze soon!

Woke up at 6a.m this morning to get ready for 8.20a.m lesson.
I didn't notice outside was raining till I stepped out of the door to go over to xiujin's apartment for breakfast.
I was shivering like mad as the rain accompany by the cold wind blowing in the air.
Eventually, we took cab after we walked down the slope as we cannot endure the weather.
Lesson conduct by the local teacher was alright.
It was merely that I have to be more patient and attentive during his lesson as he conduct his lesson is English.
Yes, I did have some difficulty in understanding his way of speaking and of course catching what he trying to deliver to us.
But at least, I get to understand and learnt some of the China economy today.

During his lesson..
The powerpoint slides.
Went back home after lesson as the weather was extremely cold.
Most of us couldn't endure the weather depsite wearing several layers.
Five of the girls together with Jiafu, Jian Wen and Tee Yong to the nearby fast food restaurant at our hostel.
It's look like another outlet of KFC, having fried chicken wings, fried fries as well as burgers.
I ate the chicken burger and taste pretty nice but abit oily.
The fast food restaurant

Waiting for our food to be served

The advertisement on the wall as well as the coupon written and printed in Chinese.

Me and my chicken burger

The chocolate ice-cream looks like Mac's Sundae

The exit of the fast food restaurant and our wrapping.
Went over to Bernice and XiuJin's apartment to keep ourselves occupied in the lazy afternoon.
Furthermore, Yankhee was not feeling well and could not stay in outdoor for too long.

XiuJin on the my left and Bernice on my right.
Lizhen cook porridge for Yankhee as her dinner, her cooking skills was marvellous.
I somehow felt embarassed as I was older than her by one year but don't know anything regarding cooking.

Ate an apple for dinner as I don't feel like eating and did the blogging the whole night
The quote of the day:
I will not condemn you for what you did yesterday, if you do it right today.
