Day 38 : Triple joy!

I was in high spirits early in the morning right after I get off from my bed.
Perhaps, the day I have been looking forward has knocked my door.
Yes ! I have turned a year older and wiser.
I was even feeling delighted when Mr Wee informed us that we will be having our last field trip today.
At least, I can spend my birthday learning and gaining more knowledge.
But I know down deep in my heart, I was just trying to console myself in a more positive manner.
So, as what Mr Wee have told us before hand, we are spending the whole day out visting three places in one shot.

Our first destination was the Yellow Crane Tower ,黄鹤楼.
It is a famous and historic tower, that stands on Sheshan (Snake Hill), at the bank of Yangtze River in the WuChang district of the city of Wuhan.
I was astonished by the history left behind as our tour guide elaborate to us.
On top of it, I also get to intermingle and understand the two poems written by Cui Hao and Li Bai respectively.

The poem written by Cui Hao:

昔人已乘黄鹤去,此地空余黄鹤楼。
黄鹤一去不复返,白云千载空悠悠。
晴川历历汉阳树,芳草萋萋鹦鹉洲。
日暮乡关何处是? 烟波江上使人愁。

The poems written by Li Bai:
故人西辞黄鹤楼, 烟花三月下扬州。
孤帆远影碧空尽,唯见长江天际流

Due to this two poems, the Yellow Crane Tower became famous till now.
I also get to see the transformation of the Yellow Crane Tower from the oldest days till now as the models of the buildings were displayed in the tower.
Adding on, I get to obtain a fine view of the Yangtze River from the top of the tower.
Once again, the panorama was spectacular!

I didn't know we have to pay two yuan if we want to use the lift till I see this sign.
This is my first time reading and seeing this kind of sign.

Another round of forming the word :)

Went to tour around the street after we got down from the Yellow Crane Tower.
The street was filled with shops selling the local souvenirs as well video recording the past history of Mao Zedong.
Along the way back after having a quick glance of all the shops, a street magician caught our attention and performed his magic tricks to us.
Definitely, all our eyes were set on him .
We stood like a statues on the ground , paying full attention to him.
Magic tricks just turn us into a kid who was waiting anxiously for a caterpillar to turn into a butterfly!

We went to the near-by Food Court to have our lunch.
Both Xiujin and I ordered the fried noodles from the same stalls.
From what I have observed, the locals also like to tag along the crowd and order food from stall with having long queue.
Initially, I merely think that only Singporeans behave in this way.
Eventually, the locals also behave like us.

Our next destination was 汉阳江滩 - 大禹神话园.
A beautiful place which carry Da Yu legend.
It is also ranked as the best spot for the local couple to take their wedding photo.
We saw some couples there when we were there exploring the area.

Finally, our last stop was Zoo.
I was totally feeling extremely poignant upon after making a tour around the zoo.
I was upset by the condition of the place where the animals lived and stayed.
The animals kept in the Zoo were less active and lively I found it.
Most of the animals we saw were either sleeping or looking restless in their cage.
Now I understand that the animals kept in Singapore Zoological Gardens were fortunate at least they were given freedom and well-fed.
I was digusted by the poorly maintained facilities in the Zoo.
It was heartbreaking to see the animals living in such condition.
We went for the animal show too.
The performance done by the sea lion was nice!
But the next performance done by the lion, bear as well as the monkey turned me off.
It was another scene of making me felt distressing and disgusted.
I completely don't enjoy the show at all.
It was only torture and suffering brought to the animals.
I was pissed off by how the animals were being treated.
The fact that it was cruel and horrendous!

The Panda- It was exceptionally adorable with all its action .

Another shot of it!

The fierce animals were not ferocious at all !

I couldn't believe what I saw with my own eyes at first.
I didn't know lion and dog can get along well with each other.
From the news pasted on the cage, I was shocked to read and stared at the two creatures for like nearly 5 minutes before I start to capture them.

Headed to Chicony for dinner at the Japanese resturant there.
There were large variety of Japanese dishes in the menu, with afforable and reasonable prices.
The atmosphere of the resturant was superb, followed by good services.
Filled our stomach full with all the delicious foods.
We were as happy as a child after all.

Went back to our hostel after dinner.
Unexpectedly, our neighbour next door was crowded with people.
Everyone came to my neighbour's apartment and gathered.
It was sort of a bonding session and exchanging music backgrounds .
TeeYong and Kuan Wee were both playing on the drum and electronic guitar respectively.
The atmosphere for the night was high and everyone let down their hair.
I didn't expect them to buy me a birthday cake and sing me a birthday song.
Of course, I was touched and it will be an unforgettable birthday celebration for me.
It will adds on to my memories.
Furthermore, it was first time celebrating my birthday overseas with a group of friends.
I also felt elated that my whole family sang me a birthday song over at the phone in the morning when I was at 黄鹤楼. It was so sweet and the best gift I ever received.
Thanks for all the gifts and wishes!
As well as the dinner the CEE guys treat me tonight.
I appreciated it form the bottom of my heart.

Once again, Happy Birthday to me !
